Happy Birthday to Nini!

This past Sunday we celebrated Nini's birthday! Happy Birthday! We hope you had a great day. Love you! xoxo

Plainfield Farmer's Fair

Last week marked our annual visit to the Plainfield Farmer's Fair. The fair happens every July and while not as big as some other farmer's fairs that take place in our neck of the woods, the boys love going and look forward to it! This year the boys were more interested in the tractors, campers and mowers than the animals and also wanted to wait to meet the clown and collect a balloon animal. (a mouse for Eli and a giraffe for Carter) Of course, ice cream was a big hit and this year for the first time Carter asked to play the only game available and won a goldfish for the pond. Although he was not able to sink a ball in any of the fish bowls provided the gentleman running the stand appreciated his efforts and rewarded him with a fish!

Carter and Elijah try out the mowers. Getting ready to take over the family business perhaps.

Then they gave the tractors a try.

Carter feeding the alpacas. I love them and would have some if our town allowed.

My little farmer and cow.
Enjoying ice cream at the end of the night. Chocolate for Carter and peach for Elijah.

Day at the Park

The other week we spent out Friday family day at nice little park that is right next to the Bushkill Creek. The park was heavily shaded and the boys had a great time jumping, sliding and swinging. Here are some shots from the day.

We then stopped at the duck stop to feed our feathered friends. I always intend to get pictures of the kids feeding the ducks but never seem to.....however, these three stood at the edge of the road thanking us and saying good-bye!

No Cavity Club!

Yesterday Carter and Elijah had check-ups at the dentist. Of course, I was on pins and needles all day, worried that it would be a disastrous trip. But true to form the boys proved me wrong and were shining stars for Dr. Wyke, Miss Pam and Miss Joanne.

The trip yesterday marked Eli's first check-up ever and he did really well. All looks good...his bottom two molars are halfway through and NO CAVITIES! Although he was less than thrilled with Miss Pam in his mouth, he did allow her to clean , count and floss his teeth. Carter held true to his promise and was an excellent boy (wanted to show his brother that the dentist was a fun thing to do) and sat through his cleaning, flossing and tooth counting with no problem. Carter also had NO CAVITIES! The only thing Carter was unsure about was having his x-rays done. He was very curious about the camera, film and what the pictures of his teeth would look like but he was not happy about the film that was inserted into his mouth. He got a reprieve but will have to have those x-rays done when he is back in January. In the end the boys left with a treasure from Miss Pam's special bucket (a patriotic pinwheel for Carter, bubbles for Eli) and their bag of goodies which included new toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste and stickers. The boys seemed very happy with that.

The best part.....both got to sign up for Dr. Wyke's 'No Cavity Club' putting them in the running for free movies passes. A little motivation to keep those teeth cavity free goes a long way! Awesome job boys!

Greg and Andra's Wedding

This past weekend was a very special time for Carter. He not only attended his very first wedding but served as the ring bearer. I will be the first to admit that I was very nervous as to how he would do. At 4 years old there really wasn't a concept of what he was to do as ring bearer but much to my and Brian's delight Carter did a fantastic job. Adding to the specialness of the day was that we left Eli with Mimi and Poppy for the weekend and Carter got all of the spotlight without having to share with his brother. Enjoy our pictures of this very special weekend.

Lined up rehearsal, waiting to walk down the aisle.
Getting some last minute tips from Daddy before heading down the aisle.
Carter and Gregory pose. (For those who don't know, Greg is Brian's cousin)
Hanging out at the rehearsal dinner with one of the flower girls.
The big day. Greg poses with his mom and dad.
Greg and Carter looking quite handsome in their tuxedos.
The guys. Greg's groomsman were awesome and went out of their way to make Carter feel like 'one of the guys'!
Carter and mommy on the way to the church in the limo bus. Carter thought that was pretty cool.
Waiting to get started. There was a lot of construction in front of the church so that gave Carter something to look at.
Watching the guests arrive in a cool place.
My favorite picture from the day.
Carter and one of the flower girls getting ready to head down the aisle. Yes, he liked her very much!
I love Carter's little wave in this one!
Greg and Andra and all the kids pose. All six of these kiddos were excellent!
Brian, Carter, Gregory and Amanda
Handsome guys.
Leading his flower girls into the reception.
Carter had left with his Mimi and Poppy and Brian and I could relax.
Brian and his mom.
Family shot.

Below is the bonus: it is a short video of Carter bustin' a move....ENJOY!
*apologies for forgetting that I can not take vertical clips. However, this is still enjoyable*
Our Congratulations to Greg and Andra! We wish many blessings and much happiness! Thank you so much for including us in your day!

Day Out With Thomas the Train

On 4th of July weekend Mimi and Poppy treated us to an adventure with Thomas the Train. The boys had a great time and a day out with Thomas re-newed Carter's passion of trains. The boys enjoyed riding Thomas, playing with train sets, watching videos, a moon bounce, a corn maze. getting temporary tattoos (Thomas for Carter and Percy for Eli) and, of course, visiting the gift tent. Enjoy the photos of our 'Day out with Thomas'!

Mimi, Poppy and Eli wait for Thomas. Eli keeps his eyes on rails in anticipation.
Thomas has arrived!
Mimi, Poppy, Carter, Elijah, Mommy and Daddy enjoy a little face time with Thomas.
One very happy boy! We rode in the very first car behind Thomas!
Carter and the conductor. Thank you Mr. Conductor for making this little boy's day even more special!
The Lanseks meet Sir Topham Hatt.
The mine train was also busy running rides deep into old mines for visitors to explore.
Is that a loud steamie, Carter?
A big thank you to our Mimi and Poppy for creating a memory of a wonderful day that will stay with the boys forever! We had a great time!
