One of Carter's favorite things to do at Pre-School is helping with the calendar. If he is chosen for the job of "calendar helper", then we are sure to hear all about his day! Aunt Cheryl gave him this really cool magnetic calendar for Christmas and he loves it, especially when it is time to change the month. He loves marking all the holidays and special events that occur in the coming month. Carter is enjoying learning about the days of the week and counting each day as it passes.

SNOW!SNOW!SNOW!
February brought us two big snowstorms....the biggest snows that Carter and Elijah have ever seen. The first storm dropped about 18inches of light powdery snow. The boys enjoyed sledding, building and playing in their first ever snow fort and even using the slides and swings at the park next to our house. The cold temperatures helped the snow to sick around for days and days of fun.
The beginning of the storm as we head out to do the first round of shoveling.

Sledding
Finally this Winter has allowed enough snow for sledding. Carter, especially, enjoyed himself. Elijah went down the hill once with his brother and once with our neighbor, Aimee, and decided that he was done! It was so much fun to sled with our neighbors and brought back memories for both Brian and I of neighborhood gatherings that included flying down a local hill complete with giggles and laughter!

Barney Becomes a Mama
Barney and Fred have become parents to 5 healthy hamster babies. I wish I could say I am surprised by these additions to our family, but the only surprise is that it too B&F so long to add to their happy home. Barney is a good mom and seems to be growing tired of her brood as they become more active and playful. Anyone out there looking for a new pet?? Let us know and we would be happy to place one of these adorable little guys in your home!
Bowling Bash
A buddy from school invited Carter to his birthday bowling party and it was a blast! Carter was so happy to be included and loved spending time with his friends outside of school! Thanks, Noah for the great day!
