Thanksgiving 2009

Brian and I are truly blessed. We have two beautiful boys, wonderful loving families, our health, a warm home and much happiness and love. Life is good.

Comin Soon....School Artwork

I do have a lot of school artwork to post. I am still in the process of taking photos of it all. Most was decorating the boys classrooms and so we received quite a bit of stuff before Thanksgiving break.
Both Carter and Elijah are doing great and continue to enjoy going to school. They will begin to prepare for their school Christmas play when they go back this coming Wednesday.
Check back soon for some great art.

A Visit with Officer Shawn

Officer Shawn came to school again this year and Carter was beyond thrilled. Carter started asking back in September if Shawn could come back and speak to his class and we told Carter that we thought it was a great idea but he would have to call Shawn and ask himself. After thinking about it for a couple of weeks, my brave boy asked me to dial Officer Shawn's number and Shawn never hesitated telling Carter to let him know the time and day and he would be there. The kids did great and really seemed to have fun.
Shawn talked to them about the importance of stranger danger, how to dial 911 and always find a police officer if you need help.
Then came the fun part...each child got to spend time in the police cars and play with all the sirens and lights!

A huge thank you to Shawn who came to school on his own time and really spent time with the kids. A thank you also must go to Officer Marshall and Officer Keifer who came with additional cars so all the children could have a turn. There is nothing better than seeing your child smile from ear to ear with pure delight!

Fall Time Exploring

Toward the end of October the boys and I enjoyed the path on a gorgeous warm day. This particular day was the first time that we set out without the safety net of the sit and stand stroller or wagon and the boys did surprisingly well. My first concern was the freedom factor but they stayed close by and explored at a reasonable distance. My second concern was the walk and if everyone would be able to walk or if I would have tired out tots. Again they surprised me and walked the whole way with no complaints. It was a perfect afternoon....we enjoyed nature, acted silly and laughed a lot! It was a day that I will remember forever....all I did was set out for a simple walk with my boys and got so much more, I got a cherished memory!

Halloween Parties

The end of October brought Halloween Parties for Carter and Elijah at school. Both boys enjoyed their parties and especially enjoyed the treats that were handed out throughout the school and church. Brian did a great job taking over the reins and attending Eli's party and parade since I was in the hospital. By Friday I had been released and was able to partake in Carter's party and parade, even if I was moving slow.
