Mr. Fancy is back.....

....and is fancier than before! McGraw sports a tie that the boys found for him. Carter told him that this is the fanciest that he has looked. Poor pup, how is he going to out do this look?
I am so thankful that he is such a patient easy going dog!

In Loving Memory

Our little town of Nazareth has a wonderful shade tree commission. It is truly a fantastic way to beautify the local parks and to honor a loved one! And that is exactly what we did! We chose a to plant a tree in memory of Brian's dad. The chosen spot sits up on a small hill overlooking the baseball diamond, something Brian's dad would have loved! Even more special is that Brian, our boys and Brian's mom and brother planted the tree. Carter was especially interested in the tree and why we were planting it....I can not think of a better place to take our boys to visit for their Pop-Pop was a very special man and loved by many and we always want to Carter and Elijah to know what a fantastic person he was!

Brian with his mom, brother and Eli. Yes, Carter is still working on shoveling the dirt...he did a great job.

Dirt=Happiness

Leave it to my Dad (or Poppy, as he is also known) to always have something interesting going on! Late last week he had mega dirt delivered to finish up a play area for the boys. Needless to say Carter and Elijah were thrilled.

Getting the dump truck backed in.
Poppy checks the dirt to make sure it is nice clean fill.
Patiently waiting to watch the big dump.

Here we go.....
.....still dumping......
...finished!
Checking out the pile. Is this a dream?
No Way! A HUGE PILE OF DIRT!! And Carter is king of the pile.
So is Eli. Surveying the pile and begging Poppy to get the tractor out to move some dirt around!
Oh yeah, he tried to ride it down the pile!

Field Trip to the Lehigh Valley Zoo

Carter's end of the year field trip was at the Lehigh Valley Zoo this year and it was a great day! The weather was perfect, Brian came along, the boys behaved wonderfully and Carter had a great time with his friends.

Yup, he has a special place for this little cutie!
Eli is serious as he waits to enter the zoo.
Finally! The penguins were the first stop and proved to be a favorite.

Watching the silly prairie dogs.
Carter thought this guy was a bit lazy. It was a bummer that we couldn't go and walk through...maybe next visit.
The boys keep their eyes on.....
.....this guy. Don't worry he was watching back!
Lunchtime! Could they sit any closer?
This is one of Carter's teachers, Miss Marie. She is wonderful and has been a great encourager for both Carter and myself.
The zoo added a great playground. The kids had a blast.

Carter and Shayna were two of the lucky few invited in to pet the goats.

Saying good-bye where it all started..the penguin exhibit.

Karate Kid

Carter started taking Karate last week. He did his first private lesson with Miss Jess and then went back last night for a second lesson with Miss Dawn. He did so well and earned his very first belt. He is now ready to join his age group also known as the Sharks. We will be sure to keep you updated on his progress. Also, a very special thank you to Mimi and Poppy for the start of something that we know will be great and benefit Carter's growth in so many ways!!

Welcome Spring

Today's weather is so beautiful that we stopped and picked up Happy Meals and headed to Lake Minsi for a picnic. The boys had a grand time walking along the path that runs next to the lake. Carter being his normal outgoing self talked to every single fisherman and asked to see what they had caught. We saw geese, one lone duck, a variety of other birds, and bees!

What an awesome view to enjoy while lunching.
My big boys.

Daddy with his boys at the end of the path.
The boys were in awe of the overflow at the end of the lake. The stood and watched this waterfall for quite awhile.
Hello handsome.
Feeding the geese. This was a huge mistake as they were down right nasty and when we tried to leave they chased after us.
This shot is the best..I love Carter's energy!
I am not sure what kind of bird this is but he was beautiful and was courting a lady so we saw quite a show. The female was underneath these branches playing hard to get in the marsh. Carter thought their carrying on was "plain silly!".
Heading back to the car...exhausted and ready for naps.
