School Update

Last week brought a lot of new artwork and crafts in the boys book bags. Carter has also started to tell us a little bit more after every class and little by little we are starting to piece together exactly what goes on during school time. Also new is Carter willingly beginning to sing songs that he and his friends are learning in class. Right now I'm a Nut and Gray Squirrel Shake your Bushy Tail are the most popular choices. Last week the class learned about the letter C and the number 2. Carter really enjoyed hearing all about Johnny Appleseed and from memory re-told a story that was read in class about Johnny. The religion theme was Noah and the Flood and the color was Blue. School continues to be most important to Carter and he tells me repeatedly that he wishes he could go everyday. Good Stuff!

Elijah has adjusted wonderfully and likes going to school. Drop off continues to be a little bit rough, but he doesn't cry and is immediately fine as soon as I leave the room. Eli loves his teachers and opts to hug them good bye rather than give the normal high five. Mrs. McAtee tells me that the playground is his most favorite thing to do. (Of course, where else can you play on a HUGE Noah's Ark??) Last week Eli and his class mates learned about apples and leaves, the color was blue and the shape was a circle. The religion theme was Abraham is Blessed.

Both boys have much more art hanging in the hallway leading to their classrooms....so check back for scarecrows, cows, apples and sunflowers!
